My daughter has been bugging me to make her a recipe scrapbook full of family favourites. I have never scrapbooked before and for some reason whenever I sat down to start I would get overwhelmed. I am just so use to making a card. Well I have finally finished my first page! I saw a cute apron that a lot of people have been using on the blogs I followand decided I would use it and see what happened. I used Cricut's From My Kitchen cart for the oven mitts (I love that cart) and Don Juan for the lettering.I also used my Gypsy and must say I am getting a lot better at creating with it and can see why you scrapbookers love it.
Here it is;
The recipe is from my sister's grade 8 home economics class (my kids don't have those classes unfortunately) and my family just loves it. Great for potlucks & family reunions. You can tell the recipe is old because in Canada you can't get a 16 or 18 oz. can of pork & beans anymore. I believe they are 14 oz. now or 398ml. Not as many beans for the money now!
Here is a closeup of the recipe;
Well I aready have an idea for the Tuna Casserole recipe and the Ham Casserole recipe on her list so does this meanI've been bitten by the scrapbooking bug??
Cammie this is sooooooooo cute !!! Love the little Apron recipe card & how you paper pieced the little oven mitts to match your paper... I did finally figure out how to post comments so they show under my blog posts. I LOVE my Cricut & that kitchen cart that I made my daughters recipe page with ... It has some wonderful things on it to use for recipe cards. Great work ... Hugs, Janie
They are 8x8. This is my first try at scrapbooking. I have actually lost my mojo for cardmaking or scrapbooking. I haven't posted anything because the last 3 cards I did were cased so I didn't feel like posting them......sigh

I may just give this idea a try, are these 8X8 layouts or 12X12?
I have never done pages.
