SISTER

I made this card for my sister's b'day which is on Friday.  The paper is called Wild Raspberry from K&Company.  It is an 8x8 pad I bought at Walmart.  The punch is from Martha Stewart and the stamp is from Stamps Happen Inc. #60058 Bees.  The sister sentiment is from Fiskar's family clear stamp set.  I used my copics to color the image but I am still having problems with the bleeding and the shading on the brown is not the greatest because the colors were too far apart but it was all I had.  The paper that the image is stamped on is from Neenah but I prefer Simply Smooth and I don't have anymore until my mother comes to visit.  I had some shipped to her while she winters in Florida as well as some more Copics from Dick Blick's and a whole whack of other goodies!  When are you coming to see me mom??  It's gonna be like Christmas when she gets here.

The sentiment for the inside is from Copper Leaf Creations and I used my scalloped oval Nestabilites to cut and emboss it.

I am still having a heck of a time taking a decent picture with my camera.  You would think with a $500.00 camera your pictures should come out pretty darn good but I have not liked this camera since I bought it.  It is a Canon Powershot S3 IS and my cheaper Olympus (that fell in the lake)   took way nicer pictures than this thing.  I try to take them in natural lighting but they never seem to come out crisp looking.  I have tried all different settings with no luck.  I have also tried using the macro function but the camera will not allow me to do it on automatic for some reason.  Well I am off to make breakfast and then I will post another quick card I made using the Crafts Too Leafy Tree embossing folder.

Hello Cammie,
I really enjoy your blog. Thank you for taking the time to share all this.
I read on a blog that you weren't able to find the Copic Acrylic Racks because the store mentioned doesn't ship to Canada. I bought mine from a woman that not only sells on eBay - but etsy and direct as well and she ships world wide.

I bought two of these racks from a woman that sells on eBay, I think etsy and direct too.
She is amazing and she shares all her knowledge with her customers about Copic Markers and drawing, blending etc.
These racks look great and the price is very reasonable.
The Woman I mentioned is Laurie ( I think her last name is Jacobs. ) Her seller name on eBay is September_Playground. Her email is Copic@ATT.net

Hi Beth,

Thanks so much for the kind comment and information. I will definately check her out on Ebay. I searched on Ebay for the racks before I bought them in the States but could not find them. My mom brought me back 2-112 ones from Florida that I had shipped to her while she winters there. I think I am good for now until I get better at coloring with the markers. I am having quite the time with the dark colors!! I am going to take the certification class in June in Toronto if I get in. Hope that helps. Do you have a blog?? Have a great day.

Just wanted to let you know that the stands from Carpe Diem were only 39.95 for the 112's. I ordered 2 and the shipping was free.
